Being God’s Love in our Communities

Burlington Lutheran invests in community - those in the congregation,

and those in our wider circles.

Local Partnerships

As evidenced throughout the years, BLC highly values being in partnership with local organizations that are doing great things. In addition to our formal partnerships and collaborations, BLC also supports a number of local non-profits through financial contributions and/or volunteering.

Learning

By providing a wide range of learning opportunities, we are investing in the present and in the future. From after-church special interest opportunities, to small and large events where all of Skagit (and beyond!) is invited, BLC centers voices that need to be heard.

Children & Youth

Youth are the future! To that end we provide inclusive, engaging opportunities for our youth to connect, learn, and grow in faith to be well-grounded, compassionate humans.

On Sunday mornings there is a nursery attendant who appropriately cares for the littles who are age four and younger.

During worship on Sunday mornings we have Godly Play, which is an interactive, imagination-building, creative engagement with the Bible and with one another. The ages that benefit the most are approximately kindergarten through fourth grade.

On two evenings a month, we host Youth Group for all kids who are between 5th and 7th grade. After a communal dinner, there is faith formation, followed by games or interactive engagement with what we're learning.

The BLC High School Group meets two nights a month as well, often cooking dinner together before discussing relevant topics and Scripture.
