Being God’s Love in our Communities
Sunday Worship 10am
We are a Reconciling in Christ congregation.
God is love. We are all God’s beloved children and are recipients of God’s radical love and grace. You are welcome and celebrated at Burlington Lutheran - if you have ever fit well into a faith community, if you've never been to church, or if you have ever felt excluded or judged because of your gender expression, ethnicity, race, religion, status, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, doubts or questions. We are a community committed to equity for all life, and we strive wholeheartedly to follow Jesus’ commandments to love God and love neighbor.
We are a growing congregation.
Intergenerational, vibrant, compassionate, with unique worship and outreach initiatives, Burlington Lutheran is growing in heart and in impact.
We are an innovative congregation.
From connecting with Elders of our nearest Indigenous tribe, to hosting Speaker Series on relevant topics, to trilingual services, to partnering with local non-profits for first-of-their-kind collaborations, Burlington Lutheran pushes the envelope of what defines “church.”
We are a congregation focused on compassion, equity, and justice.
From hosting unhoused families, to food bank participation, to service projects, to advocacy for vulnerable populations, Burlington Lutheran leads with love and partners with non-profits that are doing justice-oriented work in Skagit Valley.
Land Acknowledgement
We say these words at the beginning of each Sunday service:
Burlington Lutheran is on the ancestral homelands of the Upper Skagit peoples. Abiding harm, much of it in the name of Christ, has been and is wrought on all our Indigenous neighbors. In faith this church seeks to work humbly toward a collaborative future, never forgetting the past, while also living into the reality that we can resurrect into faithful living as beloved neighbors, together.
